Resumen

Las tecnologías tales como Internet, móvil, computación en las nubes y medios sociales han reducido la necesidad de las empresas de disponer de una infraestructura física. Esto ha dado lugar al surgimiento de empresas cuyos modelos de negocios están basados en plataformas. En este trabajo introducimos los conceptos esenciales en los modelos de negocios en contextos mediados por plataformas con el objetivo de describir cómo funcionan, entender cuáles son las implicancias para las empresas. Además, ilustramos los conceptos para el caso de Mercado Libre.
