Abstract

Lesbian women have suffered, at a global level, numerous exclusions within the feminist and LGBTIQ+ movements. The first, being dominated by heterosexual bourgeois women and the second, by gay men. In the Cuban context, despite the proclaimed 1959 socialist revolution, these exclusions have also found their own space and have subjugated dissident identities to processes of silence and persecution. In this article I am interested in highlighting how these imaginary scenarios persist in the XXI century and how they deliver a new form of violence, that which is expressed in the audiovisual narratives (video clips) that accompany contemporary urban musical genres. I therefore propose a close reading of these clips where the usual lesbophobia becomes a frightening and didactic tool inscribed on the bodies of women who love other women.
