A qualidade das importações afeta os salários Brasileiros

Resumen

Neste artigo, investigamos se a qualidade das importações afeta os salários pagos pelos setores que enfrentam concorrência das importações no Brasil de 1997 a 2016. Primeiro, estimamos um modelo de efeitos fixos e, em seguida, uma regressão quantílica incondicional. Constatamos que a
qualidade das importações impacta positivamente os salários brasileiros e que a ela afeta as faixas salariais de forma diferente no Brasil. Ainda,
determinamos que a qualidade das importações originadas em economias mais
pobres impacta os salários um pouco mais em relação aos países mais ricos. Concluímos que, para combater a concorrência internacional, empresas locais
podem melhorar a qualidade do produto
contratando trabalhadores qualificados, que
ganham mais, e que o aumento salarial varia a depender da renda do exportador.
